December 9, 2012

This week we learned about l clusters and reviewed some of our vowels.  We are also learning some new things in math, including skip counting and adding dimes and pennies together.
This week we got to start out Christmas activities!  On Monday, we filled out our December calendar:
On Tuesday we made stockings.  I love how they are all different.  :)
On Thursday we wrote letters to Santa.  I told them I would send them home with them before Christmas so they would be able to send them to Santa if they want to.  There were some pretty long lists.  I couldn't help but smile!  :)  One of the kids wanted an Xbox, tablet, iphone, and wii...that will be one expensive Christmas.  Hah.

I love this one.  She wants a baby doll that talks.  I love it.  :)
We also made reindeer!  You will find that I LOVE doing arts and crafts using the children's hands.  These always turn out so cute.

I am looking forward to more writing activities and art activities next week for Christmas.  :)
Be looking for papers in the folder!
We are going to be doing a "Polar Express Day" on the last week of school, and I will need parents to help bring some items for some of the projects we will be doing!
Thank you parents for all that you do!
