So sorry that it has taken since Sunday to post about our week! It has been a crazy weekend and I have barely been home long enough to post about it, but I am finally doing it and that is what matters. This week we practiced saying, writing, and reading words that had the short /i/ sound. We are also starting to learn harder things in Math, and I am looking forward to next week so we can finally get started adding numbers together! I can tell the kids are getting bored in math, and I am too. Friday was a CRAZY day! We had our first FAME lesson (Fine Arts Music Education) in the morning, then we had the Hillcrest Homecoming Parade, followed by a fire drill, followed by the library. Crazy crazy day, and I'm glad it's over. Starting tomorrow, we are going to begin saying, writing, and reading words that have the short /o/ in it, and we are going to start doing art projects that involve Halloween! We actually started that already this week, and it was such a fun project! We made Frankenstein. They are all so different and I know I have said this before and you will hear me say it many more times, but I love the way that you can tell children's personality through their art. It is so much fun to come to school every day and see all of those wonderful Frankensteins.
Next week is going to be another fun week and I am looking forward to Halloween! I love all of the fun things that we can do for Halloween! Thanks again parents for all that you do! You are the best. :)
