I promise I didn't forget to post on this blog! I wrote on here a while ago, and just forgot to post it, so I apologize!!!
Welcome January! We are half way through the year, I can't even believe it!
To kick off the new month, we made our January calendars.

We
also made goals for the new year. We talked about resolutions so they
could understand what it was. A wonderful book helped us to learn more
about resolutions. :)
They made these
cute little party people. Their goals are on their hats (most of them
said what I put on my example...but that's okay) and they got to do the
rest however they wanted to.
I
had family in town on Thursday, so I took a personal day to spend some
time with them. While I was gone, they got to make these adorable
snowmen. I LOVE how they turned out! They did a great job and I am
very impressed.
We
also made these CUTE penguins! I ran out of space on my wall in my
classroom, so I had to improvise. They turned out SO cute!
This
week we learned about the "h brothers". This is my favorite thing to
teach, and it seemed like the class really loved it too. I read the
story (below the pictures) to the students and show them the pictures.
It really helps them notice the sounds while they are reading them. It
has helped them pick up this concept of reading words quicker.
It has been crazy since we got back from Christmas, but we are starting to get back into the swing of things. We are starting to really get into some harder concepts now, so keep working on things with the kids at home and it will really show in their reading. Thank you parents for all that you do!
